Research on BestPeer was started in 1999, and the company, BestPeer was spun-off and founded in 2007.
Dr. Ooi Beng Chin is the founder of BestPeer. He is also a professor of Computer Science at the National University of Singapore. He obtained his BSc (Honors) and Ph.D. from Monash University, Australia. He is interested in system research and development, and has been working on P2P-based data management since 1999.
